Imagine Overwatch but someone decided to play with alternate reality. A 3rd party, perhaps, wanted chaos. They weren’t satisfied with the current Overwatch 2 heroes’ abilities. Perhaps they saw potential? Or maybe, they just wanted to have some fun. Regardless of their intent, In Mirrorwatch, Overwatch operatives “switch” sides to join Talon, whose mercenaries have a “change of heart” and join Overwatch.
The event imagines Overwatch heroes’ abilities as their alternative-reality counterparts. There are tonnes of rewards to gather, skins to check out, and challenges to complete.
Note that only a few Overwatch 2 heroes are available for play in this new event, so if you want to check out a hero in Overwatch 2 that you haven’t unlocked yet, consider buying an Overwatch account safely from U7BUY to join in on the fun!
Major Changes In The Mirrorwatch Event
The event first came live soon after Overwatch Season 10: Venture Forth dropped, and so far, we have noticed that there aren’t major differences in gameplay compared to Unranked gameplay. Aside from restricted hero selection and reimagining abilities, there aren’t any significant changes in Mirrorwatch Overwatch. The Game Modes you can select are also limited, as you can only choose from Control, Hybrid, or Escort. However, this is something that is already expected from a limited-time event.
Overwatch Heroes’ Reimagined Abilities
As discussed above, the Mirrorwatch Overwatch event features reimagined abilities. Due to this, the abilities of some characters have been updated, with some even receiving new ones. Doomfist, a Overwatch 2 Tank Hero, has all of his three abilities updated as a part of the event, while Reinhardt has received a new Passive ability called Frenzy. As these abilities are a part of the limited-time event, they will vanish as soon as the event ends.
Challenges
There are more than 10 challenges to complete, each featuring a different task. For instance, to complete the Mirrorwatch Overwatch 2 Tank Mater challenge and earn the Staff of Vengeance name card and 5,000 XP, you’ll need to use your Ultimate 20 times while playing as a Tank. Similarly, to complete the Talon Trooper challenge, you’ll have to complete 50 games of Overwatch Mirrorrwatch.
Rewards
Finally, there are a bunch of Overwatch 2 skins, charms, name cards, player icons, sprays, voice lines, and player titles up for grabs. Some of these can be unlocked by completing challenges, while others can be directly bought from the Overwatch 2 in-game shop. Fortunately, you’ll earn several rewards as you progress through the battle pass as well. As there are only a few days left until the event is over, we would suggest you get to work immediately.
